The purpose of the Utility and Housing Assistance Program at Step Up Suncoast is to bring individuals out of crisis and into financial stability. We do this through a variety of funding programs such as LIHEAP and Season of Sharing.
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP):
LIHEAP services are provided to eligible households to meet their immediate home energy needs. LIHEAP can be used for past due electric bills and/or deposits. Some clients may also be eligible for a Home Energy credit.
This program is available to individuals living in Manatee and Hardee counties.

Season of Sharing (SOS):
The Season of Sharing Fund at Step Up Suncoast provides emergency financial assistance to eligible families. These funds are last resort funds to be used when all other sources of aid have been exhausted.
This program is available to individuals living in Manatee and Desoto Counties.
All individuals seeking assistance for rent, mortgage, water, and gas must book an appointment below.
The online appointment system opens at 8am, Tuesday through Friday (appointments are booked 2-weeks out). *Appointments go quickly and are often gone within the first 30 minutes so please plan accordingly when scheduling. They are on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
